Support for Mine Action
In 2014, Ireland contributed €3,400,000 (US$4,520,980)[1] in mine action funding to seven countries and one other area, a 10% increase compared with 2013.
As in previous years, Ireland allocated all of its mine action support in 2014 for clearance activities. The largest contribution in 2014 went to Afghanistan (€918,00/$1,220,665), with three additional states/areas (Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Somaliland) each receiving more than €500,000 ($644,850). Recipients of Ireland’s contributions in 2014 were the same as in 2013, with one additional contribution that went to Myanmar.

In 2010–2014, Ireland’s contribution to mine action totaled more than €15.6 million ($20.8 million), with an average annual contribution of €3.1 million (almost $4.1 million). After a sharp decline in annual contributions from 2010 to 2012, Ireland has significantly increased its support to mine action since 2013.
