Support for Mine Action
In 2014, the Federal Republic of Germany provided €13,183,431 (US$17,530,008)[1] in mine action funding to 14 countries and one other area, compared to €16.6 million ($22.1 million) in 2013.
The largest contribution went to Afghanistan (€3,294,718/$4,380,987), with five additional countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Libya, Cambodia, Ukraine, and Iraq) each receiving more than €1 million ($1.3 million).

From 2010–2014, Germany contributed more than €80 million ($110 million) to mine action. Until 2013, Germany consistently contributed approximately €17 million ($23 million) each year in support to mine action. In 2014, Germany’s funding of mine action decreased by 21%, and reached its lowest level since 2007 when it provided €13.4 million ($18.4 million).
